“REPTES OF THE EUROPEAN UNION PER ALS PRÒXIMS ANYS”

A PERSPECTIVE FROM THE 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE TRACTS OF ROME

This year is celebrated the 60th anniversary of the Tracts of Rome. On March 25, 1957, they signed the Constitutive Tract of the European Economic Community (EEC) and the Constitutive Tract of the European Atomic Energy Community (CEEA or Euratom). These two tracts, together with the Constitutive Tract of the European Coal and Steel Community (CECA), have historically been considered as the constitutive tracts of the European Communities.

The objectives of this seminar will be to analyze the challenges that the European Union faces in these proper years, having regard to the trajectory and canvis viscuts in these 60 years. Here, issues related to the refugee crisis, the impact of Brexit, the European Veinage Policy, the security and defense of the EU, the TTIP and the action of the EU in the construction of peace in Colombia will be dealt with. The team directs the Dr. Antoni Blanc complies with the award of the year 2016 of the CEUUS-Jean Monnet Project of the European Commission, and with the recognition as a group consolidated by the Generalitat de Catalunya of the Research Group on: The United Nations and the European Union against reptiles and current threats: reform of the global governance system, security, cooperation and human rights, year 2014. In addition, it will benefit from the experience acquired with previous editions to generate debate about reptiles current issues facing the European Union at this stage.
