On February 16, 2017, the European Action Module “Jean Monnet” will begin EUROPEAN WATER AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY: ITS APPLICATION IN SPAIN.

This course, coordinated by Dr. Sergio Salinas, IUCA researcher and professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Zaragoza, will be taught by experts from the Universities of Zaragoza, Carlos III of Madrid, La Rioja, Lleida, Alicante and Valladolid.

The European Module European Water and Environment Policy: its application in Spain, is part of the Lifelong Learning Program of the General Directorate of Education and Culture of the European Commission. Its objective is to offer a specific training framework in the field of European Union Policy on water and the environment, aimed at both university students and Graduates or professionals who carry out tasks related to these sectors or have a special interest in them.

The Module follows a multidisciplinary methodology from a legal point of view. The various issues (administrative, international, financial,...) will be addressed by professors of various disciplines from different Spanish Universities.

The treatment of the issues included in the Program approved by the European Commission is intended to offer participants an overview of this >Union policy in which attention is paid both to its objectives and instruments and to the status of the European Union as a leading actor in environmental policy on the international scene.

The sessions are aimed at promoting debate between teachers and students that allows a better understanding of the key elements of each of the issues, as well as of the instruments, especially those of a legal nature, existing in the Law of the European Union.
